1. You live in D.C.? I thought you lived in California. Did I miss something?

2. I lived in California until last year, when I moved to DC for work reasons. Oh, I miss that marvelous weather. But my wife likes seasons. It all plays out.

3. I do remember you saying something about going across country with your family last summer, but I didn’t realize that meant an actual move. I’m with your wife–I like the seasons. And this is such a beautiful time of year in DC, right?

4. The first thing I said when I travelled to Capetown South Africa (via a boat), was that it looked like the Inner Harbor tourist area in Baltimore.

   Then I went to visit some of the townships where the Amy Biehl foundation works. That did not look like Inner Harbor.
